About Us
My name is Frank Consiglio and I am an amp tech, builder and repair guy, guitar tech, and a musician. A musician since my teens, a tech since my 30's, I have always been in love with sound. Retired from the fast paced world of High-Tech in Metro-west, I am living in sleepy Cape Cod and keeping my clients rockin'.
New Amps
I began building tube amps in 2014 after being frustrated with the quality of new amps I had seen during repairs. I did have some vintage amps and wanted to avoid circuit boards and imported pots, so a hand build was the option. There are many kits out there and some are good. I have found that upgrading parts prior to assembly is the way to get a high quality amp at a small increase. Transformers, pots(controls), jacks, coupling caps and tubes all benefit from upgrades. I can build you an amp from a kit, or a la cart and include any mods you would like. It is surprisingly inexpensive and you get just what you want. All my amps are built to order and may take up to 4-8 weeks to complete depending on complexity and availability of parts. A deposit is required.

Modifying Amps
Everything can be improved. Blues Junior amps are a particular good example. A great idea for it's size and power but it suffers from poor quality parts, tone and speaker. Here is Bias Pot and Oscillation mod to cool the tubes and prevent nasty Junior disease. Below is a multi-tap OT with jacks to switch it to 4 ohm when a plug is inserted, genius!
